I have to admit that I am not a regular cinema goer at University, although I was over this last Summer, but over recent years I've gradually started to take notice of certain actors and actresses, and during my A-Levels we studied French films by Truffaut. I've always been fascinated by special effects, ever since seeing the making or the Star Wars trilogy, and now such effects are within the grasp of us mere mortals. Of course, the new Special Edition Star Wars will be taking those effects into the next generation, as evidenced by the 'Making Magic' CD-ROM preview I've looked at. It's evident that CGI will continue to grow in importance as systems become cheaper and faster still. In fact, you have to admire the actors in series such as Babylon 5 in particular; 75% of the time they're interacting with something that just isn't there!
